Although the Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District owns and manages property throughout its 115 square mile boundary, a major hub of activity is the Ash Street property.  

Located at 575 Ash Street, the property includes both indoor and outdoor facilities.  The main administrative offices for the District and the Community room are located inside.  As you move east outside the building are the Archery Range, Arkansas Riverwalk Dog Park, the Ash Street Community Garden and the Nailor Open Space area.  To the west and north of the building are parking lots which serve as access points for the Arkansas Riverwalk Trail system.
