The Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District will host Toy Bowl XXV on Saturday, November 7th at Cañon City High School’s Citizens’ Stadium to wrap up the 2026 Gary “Bubba” DiOrio Youth Football League.  The teams competing are in the Credit Union of Colorado Tackle League.  All four teams will play in one of two games, with the first starting at 5:00 pm and the finale kicking off at 7:00 pm.  All teams are seeded and will compete for first and third place in their respective games.   

The Cañon City Tiger Pride Booster Club will provide the concessions for this event.  They will have the usual concession items for sale, including a $7 meal deal with your choice of a burger, hot dog, or brat.  They will also serve hot chocolate and coffee in case you need to warm up.

The goal of the Toy Bowl is not just to celebrate youth sports, but to give back to the community.  To enter the Toy Bowl, donate a non-perishable food item, a toy for a child ages 3 to 12, or pay $1.  If you'd like to donate more, you are welcome to.  All the proceeds will go to families in need this Thanksgiving and Christmas, so any help you provide is greatly appreciated.  This is a way for these four teams, their families and friends, and anyone in our community to give back to those in need this holiday season.

Another benefit for the players is the opportunity to play under the lights at Citizens’ Stadium.  So come out to Cañon City High School on Saturday, November 7th, and watch a great group of 10–12-year-olds compete while giving back to the community.  This is a fun, rewarding night for everyone.

The Recreation District thanks the Cañon City High School Athletic Department for using Citizens’ Stadium, the CCHS Video Production for their help, and the Tiger Pride Booster Club for providing concessions.  We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday night, November 7th, as we cheer on our area’s youth and help families in need this holiday season.
