Summer Kids Klub

With Kids Klub's Colorado State Licensed Staff our goal is to introduce your child(ren) to an educational and fun environment where they can experience new things with new friends. Come Join Kids Klub summer camp for some fun in the sun. 

Kids Klub is offered Monday through Friday at Washington Elementary throughout the summer.  Your child(ren) can attend all day or just the morning or afternoon sessions, whatever time frame fits your schedule.  

Summer Kids Klub activities are structured to provide children entertaining and educational new experiences that include field trips and guest speakers. 

Meals and snacks provided.

Time: 6:45am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday (exceptions below)

  • May 24th- Set up for Summer Site (PM Closed)
  • May 27th- Memorial Day (Closed)
  • May 28th- Start of Summer Program
  • July 4th- Independence Day (Closed) 
  • August 5th-August 13th (Closed)

***It is important to have your child(ren) registered for each day so the we can properly plan for meals and all activities. Registration needs to be completed the Wednesday the week prior to the days that you need.*** 

What can you bring to Summer Kids Klub? 

You are only allowed to bring the following during Kids Klub summer break:

  • Two toys per child  (optional- examples include stuffed animals, barbies, action figures, toy cars etc.)
  • One electronic item  (optional- examples include cell phones, tablets, switches with chargers)
  • Food & Drink (optional- examples include additional snacks, lunch, water bottles).  Kids Klub does provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for program participants. 
  • One small blanket and One pillow (optional)

Staff is not responsible for items you send with your child to Kids Klub.

Registration 

All initial registrations can be completed online where you can download the registration packet- or register at the Recreation District Office. Online you will create your Active Network account. Register online by clicking here. Through Active Network you will schedule attendance for your child(ren) and will have the opportunity to pay all fees by credit card online. Payment plans are available online.

Washington Elementary  - 606 N. 9th S., Canon City.

Schedule 

Monday:  Water Day 

Tuesday: Bi-Weekly 4H programming. (4H will provide programming for students 8 years old and up on June 11th,  June 25th, July 9th and July 23rd. 

 Wednesday: Water Day 

Thursday: Bi-Weekly Field Trips

Friday: Guest Speakers 

** Field Trip Thursdays. No half day option available and prior registration is required (no drop-ins permitted).** 

Price 

Accounts must stay current. Any past due balances over two weeks will result in the suspension of your account. 

  • Full day $30.00
  • Half day $19.75
  • If your child is not registered on time, drop-in fees will apply (Full day- $7 and Half Day- $2)
Ages 

5 to 12 (must have been previously enrolled in kindergarten)

Times 
  • 6:45 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Half Day AM: 6:45 am-11:45 am
  • Half Day PM: 1:00 pm- 6:00 pm
