Pool Next Steps
The Recreation District Community Pool Project continues to move forward!

With the passage of 2A and 6B last year, voters approved capital construction for an indoor and an outdoor pool at the former Icabone Pool site. While operational funding through a mill levy increase was not approved, the community’s support for authorizing new debt indicated interest in moving the pool project forward.
We invite you to attend a Community Design Workshop and Open House on Monday, July 14th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cañon City Middle School Auditorium, 1215 Main Street, to discuss the design and next steps of the Recreation District’s Community Pool.
The design team from Barker Rinker Seacat (BRS) will share the latest plans, and then we want to hear from you. Tell us what activities and amenities matter most to your family. There will be fun ways for kids to share their ideas, too, so bring the whole crew!
Your feedback will help shape priorities and ensure the project fits the community’s shared vision and available funding. As we prepare for a November ballot measure, your voice is key in creating a design that reflects our community’s values. No decisions on what type of ballot measure to put forward has been made at this time.
All are welcome. We hope to see you there!
